Hello again!

Postby pinkukulele » Mon Nov 21, 2011 9:20 am

Hello all!

I actually used to frequent this forum, for a short time a couple of years ago. Then I got pregnant, had a little girl, and boy did my preserving get a back seat then! She's 14 months old now so here I am again, I thought I should reintroduce myself as I'm ready to get back to it! I'm Carolyn, living in Melbourne. I love preserving and growing my own veggies, and I'm very excited to be getting back into things.

I've already got back on the bandwagon by making a beautiful big batch of onion jam a couple of weeks ago. It is just divine. I'm planning a Christmas marmalade as well as some pickled zucchinis soon, for Christmas gifts. Unfortunately (for others, not for me!) I put all of my onion jam into my lovely Fowlers bottles which I'm not willing to give away, so I've got to get cracking on Christmas presents for the year!

I'm looking forward to getting some hints and tips on these forums again! :)

Hi Carolyn,

Welcome back, boy you would be busy with a baby!

Look forward to seeing what you make up for Christmas.

Hi Carolyn,
Now I remember where I recognize the name from  I was sure I had seen it before and so now I know I am not imagining it. Welcome back.

I love onion marmalade/jam and made a batch last year. Didn't stay in the pantry too long as the family just love it.

Our garden is not producing enough just yet so I only have a few jams to add to gift proposed gift baskets for Christmas. Am hoping to give all home made gifts this year.
