Hi Mowgli,
Nice to have another new member. We're all trying to learn stuff, some need to learn more than others ( ). If nothing else, I can always serve as the example of what NOT to do!
Like to hear from you more,
Bye for now,

Hello and welcome to the group Mowgli,
As Hayley has asked, what is your poison? We are a motley crew on this board and all have different skills and interests although we all share the common interest of the self reliance lifestyle.
No question is a bad one and the only stupid one is the one not asked. :D Look forward to hearing from you more in the future.

Sorry folks, been away working. back yesterday and straight back into it. Canned up 20 litres of zuchinni soup, some beans and pickles. Talk about an all day affair. It's 2045 and I'm still on the last one.
To answer your question Hayley, I am starting on preserving-seems the easiest but hope to get into cheese making. smoking and soap making as well. I hope to have a years worth of food in the larder by the end of the year. Chow
